Our Vision

1. Propositioning MGVC as one stop station for Accessing and excelling veterinary / animals science technology related education and research.
2. Extension of veterinary education activities so as to continuously keep on producing competent human resource capable to respond the challenges of the profession in the scientific breeding, feeding, disease control, production and processing of products vulnerabilities through – “Call of the time technologies ” to suit the need of different stake holders.

Our Mission

(i) To be a center of excellence in teaching, research and extension education in Veterinary & Animal Sciences.
(ii) To develop sustainable livestock farming system for improving productivity and profitability and dissemination of advanced technologies.
(iii) To utilize Veterinary and Animal Sciences Technology into profitable industry through livestock entrepreneurship training and providing nutritional security to the nation.
(iv) Utilization of available tools in the veterinary field to create disease free zones which may be useful for trade facilitation.

Our Mandate

(i) To impart education for graduate and Diploma programs.
(ii) To develop Centre of excellence of learning in the field of Veterinary & Animal Sciences.
(iii) To undertake programs of extension education for farmers’ training to actualize the lab to land programs.
(iv) To undertake such other activities in the fields of Veterinary & Animal Sciences as it may deem fit from time to time for stake holders.

Our Focus

To accomplish the vision and mission, the focus will be to effect paradigm shift in education delivery system, research, invention, innovation continuum in the field of Veterinary & Animal Sciences Technology and dissipations of information and technology output to the farmers/entrepreneurs.
